To create an account, please use your active email address. We use zero-access AES 256-bit encryption for all stored data, meaning that only you have access to your encrypted information. Additionally, SSL encryption protects all data during transmission to ensure your privacy and security.
All encrypted data is stored on an off-site, fully remote S3 Bucket instance, with KMS-SSE (Key Management Service - Server-Side Encryption) providing an added layer of security for the encrypted data at rest. (Basically x3 encryption on everything!)
Once your account is created, you will receive a unique Account UUID. This identifier is essential for verifying your identity and making any changes to your API account status. Please keep this UUID safe and accessible, as it will be required for account management.
Important: If you lose your Account UUID, you can request account access recovery. To do so, please email us from the same email address you used to sign up at accounts@odfsec.org. For security purposes, initiating account recovery will result in all associated account information and saved packages being permanently removed from our server storage. Additionally, the associated API token/key and any stored IPv4 address records will be updated to ensure your account remains secure.
At our discretion, we may deny a recovery request. During the recovery process, we may also require specific account information, such as your previous API token or IPv4 address, to validate your identity and process the request.
Please note that the recovery process is entirely automated and cannot be altered, ensuring a consistent and secure experience. All information you submit during recovery will be securely entered into the system, processed exclusively by computing, and will not be accessed or reviewed by any human.
